Physical Literacy For School Age Children—2 Hours (Tuesday, August 17th--6:00 p.m)
Physical Literacy For School Age Children: Physically literacy is defined as the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding to value and take responsibility for engaging in physical activities. In this course, participants will learn how to help children to become more physically literate and participate in games that help to support the development of the basic skills necessary to become physically literate. Core Of Knowledge (COK) Hours: 2 (Health, Safety & Nutrition)
1. Define Physical Literacy
2. Identify strategies to develop physical literacy in school age children.
3. Participate in developmentally appropriate games that support physical literacy skills
