Upon the successful completion of the training, the participants demonstrate proficiency in knowledge and skills to ensure Asthma and Allergy safe (Trigger free) child care environment, identify and manage Asthma and Allergy emergencies and prevent triggers as per the child’s treatment/action plan and OCC COMAR requirements. Core of Knowledge (COK) Hours: 4 Health, Safety and Nutrition).
Maryland Excels eligible- Programs earn the Asthma and Allergy Friendly Achievement upon successful completion of the training. Only one staff member per center is required to take this training to obtain Asthma and allergy Friendly designation.
