Neurodiversity means that there is a range, or diversity, of ways human brains function. We think, learn and relate to others in a range of ways. Through this workshop, participants will look more closely at the neurodiversity theory and explore ways to create a neurodiverse learning environment.
Participants will review eight principles of motivation for young children and how to apply each to the classroom.
Participants will explore a more nuanced and developmentally informed perspective on children’s tears. Contrary to the traditional notion of dismissing tears with a quick “Stop crying, you’re OK,” this workshop delves into the biological benefits of crying. It introduces strategies for responding to children’s tears that align with their developmental needs.
